ALL ABOUT LEATHER

TYPES OF LEATHER

Top Grained
 - fuzzy on one side, smooth on the other
 - protected or coated (more resistant to fading due to UV light)
 - more resistant to liquid staining (like water and some oils)
 - easiest to maintain
 - most durable
 - has a more "finished" look

Full Grained
 - clean, natural hide
 - remains in "natural" state
 - allows for great durability and comfort
 - wears better than most
 - improves with age

Suede
 - grain completely removed
 - fuzzy on both sides
 - less durable than top grain
 - more difficult to maintain
 - no finish (unsealed - fades more in UV light)
